Type of event
Obviously one of the biggest influences on your choice of furniture will be the kind of event you are organising. Indoors or outdoors?
An indoor event usually gives you far more options as you don’t have to worry about mud or a sudden downpour and you can generally go for whatever you want inside or under the cover of a marquee. However, if you’re planning something that won’t be under cover your options may be more limited. Practical, hardwearing plastic furniture is ideal as it still looks good, but will easily stand up to anything the British weather can throw at it.
How long you need furniture for
Generally speaking, the length you hire furniture for won’t be an issue unless you are planning to hire a lot. If you do need someone to supply a large amount for a longer period, it is a good idea to plan this as far in advance as possible. Many suppliers will not be able to provide a high volume of furniture over a longer period, so make sure not to leave finding this out until the last minute!
